Mon inspiration vient d’un vague sentiment d’abandon qui m’a traversé après avoir lu un roman de Jón Kalman Stefánsson. Il y raconte un petit village d'Islande où les saisons se succèdent en ne se différenciant que par la longueur du jour venant après la nuit.
C’est le quotidien plutôt fait de rituels et de tout petits détails qui font figure d'évènements et deviennent connus de tous. Un rien suffit parfois à susciter la tempête, dans un tourbillon irrationnel de désirs, de ressentiments ou de craintes…

My inspiration comes from a vague feeling of abandonment that crossed my mind after reading a novel by Jón Kalman Stefánsson. He tells the story of a small village in Iceland where the seasons follow one another, differing only by the length of the day coming after the night.
It is the daily life rather made of rituals and very small details which become events and become known to all. A trifle is sometimes enough to stir up a storm, in an irrational whirlwind of desires, resentments or fears...
